Sleep deprivation is linked to decreased cognitive function, poor decision-making, and increased stress! It is so important to prioritise a good, quality sleep to boost focus and energy levels. So what does this look like? Sleep hygiene is all about those steps before bed to ensure a quality sleep, this could be maintaining a consistent bedtime or reducing screen time before bed.  

·      Nutrition for energy and focus: Food is fuel! Remember my car analogy? If you put unleaded in a diesel – your car is, well for better words, cooked. What you eat plays a crucial role in brain function, mood and sustained energy. A diet rich on whole foods and healthy fats can help stabilise blood sugar levels and prevent energy crashes throughout the day. Hate to burst your bubble, BUT foods rich in processed sugars, will result in a major energy crash, and do you and your body no favours.

·       The role of hormones in stress and productivity: Hormonal imbalances can contribute to fatigue, brain fog and mood fluctuations – all of which affect your ability to perform at work.

·      Preventing sickness and burnout: Chronic stress and poor lifestyle choices can contribute to frequent sickness and burnout, leading to disengagement and absenteeism. Simple changes, like incorporating movement in your day, practicing stress management techniques and staying hydrated can go a long way in supporting overall resilience and long-term wellbeing.
